Phuoc Hue Buddhist Temple of San Antonio would like to invite you to one of the most important Buddhist holidays, Vesak, on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at 10am. Vesak is the celebration of the Buddha’s birth, enlightenment, and death. It is an auspicious and one of the holiest days of the year that is celebrated in every Buddhist tradition around the world.
Join us at 10am on May 19 for the formal gathering of the Sangha and guests to open the ceremony with the grand Bell and Drum and procession of the Baby Buddha and Monastics. Following the procession, ceremony introductions will be given in Vietnamese and English. After the speeches, chanting and the Holy Bath of the Baby Buddha will begin.
After the service, you are welcome to a free vegetarian lunch with the community.
