Please join us to celebrate the Lunar New Year on Tuesday, January 28 at 8pm! This year we celebrate the Year of the Snake 2025, Buddhist Year 2568.
This auspicious and very festive celebration is celebrated on the Eve of the Lunar New Year as the monastics and community welcome the new year with chanting, blessings, offerings to the community, Lion dances, and traditional Vietnamese dances.
The celebration will begin with the introduction of the ceremony and events, followed by offering words of gratitude and longevity to the Most Venerable Abbot by the monastics and members of the community. Followed by short dharma talks and chanting in Vietnamese and English. Afterward, the monastics will provide offerings of the “lucky red envelope” to the guests before the free vegetarian meal.
After the main festivities are concluded, we will end the main event with thousands of firecrackers to celebrate a new year of success and prosperity.
